Jordan Kramer

Co-Owner

Jordan has been working in the trades since 1999 and has been a licensed builder since 2005.  He has an intuitive feel for a project and enjoys the hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting involved in each build.  He makes sure each job is completed in an excellent way, takes his time to do the small things, and brings high value to the job site.   He also has an eye for design and the overall aesthetic of a project.  A highly skilled carpenter and craftsman, Jordan is happiest on a job site, covered in sawdust, building cool stuff.

Jordan and his wife Amy have two daughters, a dog and a cat, and live on the north east side of Grand Rapids.  They like hosting friends at their pool and gathering people for Pickleball parties, cooking for a crowd, cheering on their girls in their sporting events and always love long weekends at the family cottage up north that they renovated.

Jonathan Peerboom

Co-Owner

Jonathan has been in the building trades since 2003. He spent the first 7 years working full time, learning the construction process under skilled craftsmen. From 2009-2019 he worked in the non-profit sector managing affordable housing projects and collaborating on grass-roots work with other non-profit leaders and the City of Grand Rapids.

He worked at Next Step for 10 years in construction, helping pilot programs that support re-entering citizens through employment. He helped fundraise over $2.4 million dollars for a capital campaign for the renovation of the former Kindel Furniture Factory to renovate the commercial/manufacturing/office space for Next Step today. On a regular basis he was rubbing shoulders with people from all walks of life: men looking for a fresh start in life out of prison or drug/alcohol rehab to businessman and leaders looking to hire employees.

He loves to cast a vision for a project from start to finish, work with a team, and make sure the customer feels heard, and gets exactly what they are looking for out of the new space.

Recently, Jonathan and his wife, Hollie, developed a neighborhood in the countryside, north of Grand Rapids. They designed and built a custom home for their family of 5. As a family, they enjoy snowboarding, camping, spending time with friends and enjoying their outdoor land in the river and fishing in ponds.

Hollie Peerboom

Business Administrator

Hollie is married to Jonathan who is a co-owner of Pear Tree Homes.  When she said “I do” she quickly absorbed the title of “landlady” as Jonathan owned multiple rental homes. The couple completed over 12 renovations throughout the Grand Rapids area as side passion projects before joining Pear Tree Homes, many of which were gut to stud rehabs and involved much vision. Hollie trusted Jonathan’s optimism and ability to see through challenging projects. He would do most of the renovation himself and she would do the design work and help manage the projects. She has been flattered when people refer to Jonathan and herself as Chip and JoAnna, but laughs as she wishes she had Joanna’s rehab budget and wardrobe.

Hollie brings business experience through a number of various jobs she has worked that entailed attention to detail, client care, managerial experience and overall construction project management through their rental renovations.

Hollie finds herself most happy when she knows people feel comfortable in her home, snowboarding with her children and playing tennis competitively. She enjoys when she can drag her husband on the court and beat him in tennis! Hollie is passionate about helping with organizations that support orphans and refugees. Her mother was an orphan and as a couple they have hosted several resettling refugees & immigrants looking to make Grand Rapids their new home.
